Okeechobee Health Care Facility has a long-standing history of exceptional standards and recognized excellence in quality of care of our residents. We are proud of our staff and their dedication to continually improving our mission to provide interdisciplinary, holistic care for our residents. The following awards are part of this commitment to excellence:

2017 Winner – National Silver Quality Award

Okeechobee Health Care Facility is honored to have earned the designation of the 2017 Silver Achievement in Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). Implemented by AHCA/NCAL in 1996, the National Quality Award Program is centered on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. The program assists providers of long term and post-acute care services in achieving their performance excellence goals.

“Silver award recipients are champions of performance excellence and quality health care outcomes,” said AHCA/NCAL President and CEO Mark Parkinson. “I commend their dedication to delivering solutions for quality care to the populations we serve.”

2017 Winner – Florida Governor’s Gold Seal Award

The Governor’s Gold Seal Award recognizes Florida nursing centers that demonstrate excellence in long term care over a sustained period while promoting the stability of the profession and facilitating the physical, social, and emotional well-being of nursing center residents. Established in 2002, the program was developed and is implemented by the Governor’s Panel on Excellence in Long-Term Care (Panel), which is comprised of persons appointed by the Governor’s Office, Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), Department of Health, Department of Elder Affairs, Florida Health Care Association, Florida Life Care Residents Association, LeadingAge Florida, and the State Long Term Care Ombudsman.

Okeechobee Health Care Facility is honored to receive this distinguished award.

 

 

2016 Winner – Federal Five Star Quality Rating

Medicare’s Nursing Home Compare allows consumers to compare information about nursing homes. It contains quality of care and staffing information on over 15,000 Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing homes.Ratings are provided for Health Inspections, Staffing and Quality Measures, and then combined to calculate an overall rating. Okeechobee Health Care Facility has been a 5-Star rated facility each year for the past 15 years.

 

 

2015 Winner – US News & World Report Best Nursing Homes

The Best Nursing Homes ratings highlight the top nursing homes in each city and state out of nearly 16,000 facilities nationwide. U.S News & World Report recognized Okeechobee Health Care Facility as a “Best Nursing Home.”
