Resident Art Show 2019

In existence since 2002, the Resident Art Program is one of the most rewarding activities for the residents, family members and staff. The resident artists meet twice a week to work on their individual paintings, and Activity staff are on hand to offer suggestions and provide assistance, as needed. Drums! I Hear Drums! Kevin Beatkeeper, of Jensen Beach, FL, recently brought his large collection of Djembe drums and held two drum circle sessions with our residents. Kevin is very personable and outgoing, and was able to teach several simple rhythms and drumming styles in short order, and the residents loved it! Laundry / Warehouse Under Construction

K9’s Visit OHCF

Two Okeechobee Law Enforcement K9 dogs recently visited the residents at Okeechobee Health Care Facility. The visiting dogs, one from Okeechobee City Police Department and the other from Okeechobee Sheriff’s Department, demonstrated their training to staff and residents under the portico at the main lobby entrance to the facility.
